So good it makes my stomach growl right now!!

So, I'm sitting here starving my butt off late at night, and I thought I'd have some fun here and poll the class about food. Think back to the good ol' days growing up in Corinth. What were some of your favorite foods?

Here are mine, in no certain order:

1. Bobby Burns' dad's soup burgers
2. Weston's mother's buttermilk biscuits
3. Dilworth's hot tamales
4. Slugburgers from the White Trolley
5. Pete's Pizza
6. Sopapillas from Carlos' Tacos
7. Chili dog from Tommy Taylor at the YMCA
8. Eddie Burger at the Hillandale Country Club
9. Roast beef sandwich at Danvers
10. Cheeseburger and fries at CHS

Let's go...let's hear 'em!!!!

OMG....the Dilworth hot tamales...Still love those and get those when I can....The White Trolley, I suppose, is my best food memory of Corinth...Probably bce you can't get slugburgers in other places...Cheese enchiladas from Carlos Tacos...And I remember going as a younger person to the Catfish House on the wkds with my family...Always loved their hushpuppies...And venturing out of Corinth a bit, but, will always remember The Wharf at Pickwick...Ummmmmmm, the best whole catfish...Okay, I'm starving now :p

Wait, I have to come back and mention Tommy Taylor's slaw dogs...I make that slaw still today...But, not as good as those at the Y...Borrum's chocolate malts...I bet that I could go on for days...Maybe that's why Angel needs to go on a diet and lose about 30 lbs....LOL!

Man you guys covered just about all of mine but I used to get a Tutti-Fruti and a Tommy Dog (It came with everything on it)from Tommy Taylor's. I also liked the Veggie soup and the peanut butter and Kayro syrup sandwiches from the school cafeteria. A steak sandwich and fries from Abe's grill. A super dog from Fat Jimmy's ( Abe's brother who sold hot dogs from a van in the Gibson parking lot) A bannana split from Coon's Dept. store. Catfish from the Catfish Cabin on Parkway (across from the city park) Fried Chicken and Biscuits from New Orleans Famous Fried Chicken. Meat and 3 at Jettie's and finally Lemon Pepper and Zesta crackers at Weston's house watching MTV

ok, so I have to add.....my dad's pizza. He was always asked to make his pizza. I remember he couldn't cook fast enough at the senior party at my house.
