5th grade FIGHT...
This just ran thru my mind while thinking about my first year @ Corinth...Bobby, especially you, do you remember when several of us had stayed in @ recess one day, and we were playing jacks, and this BIG guy(I can't for the life of me think of his name)picked a fight with me bce I wouldn't let him play jacks with us....He picked me up off of the floor, hit me, and blacked my eye and bloodied my nose...I just remember you being right there when it happened, and I think I ended up bleeding all over you...Makes me laugh to think that I was scrappin' in the 5th grade!

I wonder who that guy was?? I seem to remember this whole incident, although I wasn't in your room. If it was 5th grade...was it William Harlson? Michael Coleman? I can't think of who it would have been??
I thought that was in 8th Grade in Mrs. Wrights Class and the guy's name was Anthony West. He had a huge fro and looked like he might have been a couple of years older than us but was in our grade. I was down the hall in Spanish Class and when the bell rang we heard all the noise coming from down the hall and people were saying there had been a fight. I didn't know until it was over it was you and him. Is that what you are talking about?
Anthony West? Why don't I remember him? I remember Jonathon West...he was the guy that Coach Shirley called Artemis...from the Wild, Wild West. But I don't remember Anthony West??? Help me out here....
No, it was 5th grade...Bce the principal's office was like right across from our classroom...I don't think that I fought any in the 8th grade...he he he :) Bobby, I remember too in the 6th grade when you ran into that guy in the hall and your tooth broke off in his forehead...I bet that's one that you'll never forget, too!!!!
No you are right, I will never forget that. I have the fake tooth to always remind me. His name was Brian ONeal . I had pushed Jeff McGee into his locker and he was chasing me down the hall thats when Brian stepped out of the classroom and we ran into each other and his head broke my front tooth off flush with the gum. Damn that hurt! I could have sworn that was you in Mrs Wright's class because I thought when the bell rang he waited for everyone to leave and pulled you back in the room and locked the door and Mrs Wright ran down the hall and got Coach Horton and he ran back to the room and busted in the door and drug Anthony down the hall by the back of his neck and one of his arms. His shirt was torn and his hair was all messed-up and then Mrs Wright came out with you and was holding a towel on your face because your nose was bleeding. If that was not you I hope somebody reads this post and can tell us who it was....
I drove poor Mrs. Wright CRAZY! I'm surprised that she never actually smacked me around :p She taught both my mom and dad and she would always call them and ask, "WHAT HAPPENED TO ANGEL" :) Stacey C remarked in a post about me putting the Easter egg in her radiator that one time...It took a while to take full effect, but, when it finally did, we all knew it!!! Maybe the other person will speak up that your are thinking about from that particular fight!!!!!
You said the principal's office was right across from your room? How can that be? In 5th grade, the principal was Mr. Davis, and his room was in the 7th grade building???
There was an office right across from the classrom...Maybe it was an assistant principal's office or something...I just remember being taken over there and them calling my mom and sitting in there with ice on my face until she came to pick me up!

I think you're right about a principal's office in the 5th grade building. I wasn't here in the 5th grade but did have to go there when we were in the 6th grade with a whole group of girls to address a "girl situation". Mr. Davis didn't quite know what to do about it and sent us all to a lady asst. principal. I think it was Peaches Warren. Does anyone remember for sure? I remember when Bobby's tooth got broken off also. It scared me to death! I was always so in love with him. Ha!

OOOOOOOOOOO, a girl situation...Isn't it funny that at the age of 11 or 12 we were so hush hush about all of our girl stuff....Now, at the age of 35, and after giving birth, it's like WHAT THE HECK... :)I don't remember who the office belonged to, but, I'm glad that I'm not imagining things :)OH, all of the girls were in love with Bobby, weren't they...He had a different girlfriend every week, I think! P.S. Does Charlie still look like Rick Springfield....ha ha ha!!!
I think it was Johnathan West and we were in the 5th grade Mrs. White's classroom. It was across from the "5th grade principal office." It wasn't Peaches Warren, it was...someone else. Sorry I don't remember either. Ms Allen was the music teacher in the fifth grade right? The guy was like 6 feet tall and older than we were but he was in class with us. I was in that class. I remember he just lost it and picked somebody up over his head. I didn't remember it was you Angel. I'll think of that principal's name...she wasn't there the entire time we went to South Corinth I don't think.
